I am trying to order a pair of seat track extenders for the 1969 Nova SS with bucket seats that I just bought but the car is 2 weeks away from getting delivered. Does the front of the bucket seats attach to the floor brackets with the bolts going at a 45 degree angle or horizontal with the bolt head facing the front of the car or is attached with a stud and nut? I understand that the rear of the seat is attached with a bracket with a stud welded straight up and a nut. My 1970 Nova has a bench seat and the seat is attached with all 4 bolts going straight down into the bracket towards the floor like in a 1969 Camaro. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark I thought the Camaro seat exstenders worked, I think there is guy still pimping home made ones on ebay that are pretty accurate copies...pretty simple to make a pair.

All the original bucket seat cars I have seen have the stud on both the front and rear brackets. I know My 68 has the stud with a nut. What are these bucket seat extenders you are asking about?

Jason does your front seat brackets have studs that angle or are they straight up and down? These extenders sell on e-bay for about $40.00 for a pair of brackets and I have bought 4 sets over the years for different cars. The seller is great to deal with and he has a few choices but we are not sure what style would work with a Nova with bucket seats.

If you can wait until the snow is gone, I got a floor with the real mounts on it. Its buried with 2-3 feet of snow on it out in the back 40.

This is a picture of my original 68 floor brackets. Studs straight up. I know 69 and 70 use diffent brackets on the floor but they still are straight up.

A closer picture showing the studs coming through the brackets. So what do these seat extenders do move the seat back to give you more leg room? If so I may want to look into a pair for my 68. Being 6'4 I don't have a lot of leg room in the nova.

Thanks Jason. I am 6'2" with a 38" waist it is nice to get a couple of extra inches between me and the steering wheel. The brackets bolt in and it makes a big difference in the comfort. I mount the brackets under the carpet so you hardly notice them and you can always remove them with no problems.
