In the fall I searched and found what I thought was a reputable dealer for some engine parts (BB stroker assembly). Now after 3 months..no parts..no returnd e-mails or calls..6 negative feedbacks in a row on e-bay and no new auctions..Im not feeling real good http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif..I did not go thru e-bay..I should have known better..but I placed a phoned order and paid with a USPS MO...no paypal...so I guess Im eating the grand deposit I gave him http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif..any suggestions http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif..not familiar territory for me..Thanks

Did you mail it through the post office? If so use the following link:

http://www.ehow.com/how_5040363_file-complaint-postmaster-general.html

Believe it or not, the Postmaster General is one of the best ways to get this resolved. They actually investigate and get the ear of local law enforcement.

Good luck!

Road trip! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif How far is the so called business?
Even if you paid with paypal it would have done you no good. I bought with paypal buy NOT on eBay and they said they could do nothing for me. I would say try and find the address and call the police in that area. Did you keep the stub for the M/O? Did you have an ad to print out to send them if needed?
Just like our cars...Docs mean everything. I wish you good luck as I know how you feel my friend! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

It is going to cost you more than your deposit to get a lawyer involved and once you win a judgement you still have find a way to collect. I learned that lesson from one of our past sellers on this site a couple of years ago. Another time about four years ago I paid $1,500.00 for a pair of aluminum heads on an auction thru e-bay I never received the parts and I never got my money back. The seller filed BK and stiffed a bunch of people. There was nothing we could do legally and Ebay was no help at all. I still buy on the internet but I go in knowing I am taking a chance. Where is the seller located?

I've used the postal service claim web site to successfully recover $$$$$.

Casher of money order can not legally keep your funds w/o delivering goods. U.S. D.A. and Post Master will investigate
your fraud case.

To replace a lost or stolen money order, a customer will need to fill our Form 6401 at a Post office and pay a fee of $5.40. After the USPS completes a payment inquiry on the status of the money order, a replacement can be issued.

Good luck with getting USPS to do anything about it. I got took by a scammer a few years ago, paid with a USPS MO, filed a complaint, did all the paperwork, jumped through all their hoops, and still to this day I've not heard a peep back from them.

Al, that flat out sucks!! I would try what the others said, going through the US Postal Service. You can also telephone the local Police Agency where this business is or was located and ask them about it. Make sure to speak to a Uniformed Officer Or someone in the Detective Bureau there.

Chances are that Police agency might know what is going on with that company and if they have received other complaints similar to yours. I'll bet you are not the only one they ripped off. The Police Agency may tell you that it is entirely a Civil Matter. If you want a second opinion telephone the local County Prosecutors Office about it in that area and ask a Prosecutor... You could also contact the US Attorney General's office and file a complaint with them...

Al,
I'm going home for a long weekend and could pay this guy a visit for you. If you want me to bring Vasic, we would have close to 600 Lbs at his doorstep asking politely for your money back.
