I've talked to a few people who have bought new Fords recently. The one common reason for buying Ford was the fact that Ford didn't go for the bailout as did GM and Chrysler. GM realized that would be a backlash. They just didn't know to what extent it would be. There sure seem to be a lot of new Ford trucks around here. Hopefully the economy will pick up and everyone does better.

Ford actually did ask & receive a substantial loan from our Govt.,just before the Shite hit the fan last year, but GM & Chrysler were the larger ones needing the assistance afterwards and the most publicized.
Ford Explorers will now be built in Chicago, adding some 1200 more jobs too. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif
