I don't know if this qualifies as a true "Motion" car, but a friend of a friend has a '72 Corvette that her late husband bought new from Motion. From the pictures I've seen (taken when the car was new) it looks like a pretty standard 454 Vette, but with a domed hood with Motion emblems, Motion valve covers, black side pipes and slotted deep-dish mags. No body kit, and the engine looks pretty much stock except for the valve covers and small air cleaner. Been in storage for probably 25 years or more. Still, a pretty cool artifact from the day.

All these old car stories are cool, however, pictures turn stories into history. See if you can get some photo's, that would be VERY cool! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/headbang.gif

The car was for sale the last I heard, but the lady who owns it wanted to get some idea of its value before she advertised it. Any ideas of what it could be worth?

Don't bother contacting me because I don't know the owner and I haven't seen the car. If my friend who knows her wants me to pass along any info from her I will. Otherwise, I'm out of it.

Hey now, be nice! He stated in the first post it was a friend of a friend. I suppose I'm still inclined to believe him- that is until I hear an insane line of http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif

Judging by the color of the license plate I don't think it's the same car.

How can you judge by the color of the license plate, that would be the correct plate for a car in NY 1973/1974; about the time I took the picture. (I assumed the car was from NY, is it from elsewhere not ever registered in NY?)

As far as I know the car I posted pics of has never been registered in New York.

Could it be a dealer plate from that era?

dealer plate would have been all numerals, this appears to have the common for that era three numerals three letters for POV reg.
