What's AAR about that car? Looks like a regular 'Cuda to me!

I'm sure a reall AAR car was not available and they used what they had and threw a couple of zappers on it.

Small AAR notation on the front fenders. Like it was said, this was probably put together for the announcement. Not sure if this was done before the first AAR was actually built.

My post was supposed to say "A 1 of 1 AAR badged 440 Cuda. Sweet!"
"Badged" being the key word. The car had AAR "steekers" on it.

So is Dodge offering the great old colors again?

442w30
02-13-2010, 08:56 PM
It's an updated color called "Furious Fuchsia" and can be viewed here:

http://www.dodgechallenger40th.com/challenger-release.php

The site is rife with historical errors, though.

Yeah nice errors! And this supposed to be an official Dodge PR website!!!!

What the heck is a "1970 Dodge Challanger AARC"? with the accompanying photo of a 70 AAR Cuda.

And the "70 Dodge Challenger pistol grip shifter" with a photo of a 70 Charger R/T interior and shifter.

Nick from PantherPink.com sent them a note - he's in touch with one of the PR guys.

By the way, your name came up on Moparts.com recently. They were reminiscing about your convertible and stuff like that. Lots of CT/NJ people there.

LOL! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Do you have the link? I'll say hello and scare them since they 1) think I'm dead and/or 2) still blame me for ruining the hobby back in 1987 by selling that hemicuda ragtop for the extortionistic price of $54,000.

I wish they would offer it with the white stripes instead of the dark grey. A much better look.

Isn't that black with glare from the lighting?

Nice follow-ups on Moparts, BTW.

No, I checked with my local Chevy dealer and it is listed as a dark grey stripe, not black. Neat green color though!

GTO_DON
02-15-2010, 05:29 AM
Actually those stripes have a bluish tint to them up close and do not belong on that color in my opinion. But the big problem is the fact that its a 6 cylinder color only. The sales rep told me they are only offering it on v6 cars to boost sales. Its an awesome color in person!!

I bet they eventually release it for the SS . . . would be a shame if they didn't.

question, has anyone tried a COPO type order lately on any new performance US made car??? like paint or other options not listed as together through the dealer?

I brought this up years ago with a friend who was editor of a Mustang magazine. I don't remember what the answer was, but I'm sure it's much harder now than it was before, if at all possible. Probably the only way to get it done is to get a non-recommended interior combo, but who knows?
