Not that there is much interest on this site for this type/age of a Nova but I thought I would offer anyhow since I do not frequent the Nova sites. We just took in a low mileage original paint 62 Chevy II that is very original, solid and clean but getting a full restoration. If anyone needs photos of pre restoration and original areas such as trunk, interior floor pans, interior, etc of a 62 let me know and I will post them here as the restoration progresses. Not a real common car for sure but the techniques were used for many years. I will also be needing a lot of trim and interior parts if anyone has them available. Blue car with blue/white cloth interior.

Nothing wrong with a first year Nova. I would love to see pictures of it.

Rick, you should contact Wayne Bushey at National Nostalgic Nova...some of the photos might be good for our club magazine, the Nova Times. He likes to do feature stories on cars...he also has lots of parts and info. Good luck with the project...sounds interesting. Hope the customer is a member of NNN http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Lots of trim differences on those early Novas. Would love to see some original detail shots. Is it a 400? Has it a three or four tone interior? Very cool ride, I had half a dozen of those before I went midsize.

Thanks for the interest. I will post some photos as I progress.

Also, my bad.....it is a 63 not a 62. Don't know these cars as well as I thought. It is only a 4-door 6 cyl car but damn solid and original hence the reason I asked if anyone wanted photos as much of it would obviously be the same as a 2-door. I will also send some shots to Wayne to see if he would like to use them. The car is Blue with a two tone blue interior and two tone blue door panels. The seats are also two tone blue with the majority of the seating area done in a cloth material in kind of a plaid design. Does anyone repop this material? Original floor mats, rubber floor and trunk mat are all still in place though not in very good condition. One of the original tires still acts as a spare in the trunk. Pretty cool car with most all the paperwork in the glove box and owned by an 87 year old woman who owns one of the largest chemical companies in Illinois and wants this car for the parades. Her mom and dad were the original owners.

Rick,

Love the Blue on Blue combo. I`m sure SMS Interior has what you need.

Thanks for all the interest. Kind of a boring car but nice original regardless. The woman was in yesterday and gave us the final go ahead so Ann and I will start disassembly today and will post pictures of detailed areas as we progress. Thanks also to all those who posted and/or called and emailed with suggestions on parts and people to obtain parts. Big help!

One other thing........if there is anything specific that someone wants photos of, please let me know now and we will photograph it during the dissassembly since it will all be going into baggies and totes after that and hard to get to.
