Several years ago I searched long and hard for about two years to find a quality, era correct set of American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. I found a set in Tennessee in late 2005. At that time I had them refurbished and the spokes painted in a colour that suited me. These are Torque Thrust T70’s which I understand are circa 1969-1971. Dimensions are 14” by 7”. They are disc brake compatible and have been on my 69 Chevelle for four seasons. I’ve had no issues with them in that time, albeit only about 400 miles. I want to put my stock SS wheels back on so these are available for purchase. Excellent overall condition including 20 correct, high quality lug nuts. 17 of the 20 washers are the correct chrome type, with the other 3 a little different. Center caps are excellent and another full set of new, never used centers are included. The outside aluminum rim would have a gloss factor of 8.5 out of 10 in my opinion. These will obviously fit any relative GM vehicle. These are still on my car and I would obviously need a little time to get the tires changed after sale, so a little patience would be asked of the purchaser. They will be left on the car if not sold. I am located in the Kingston, Ontario area. If you want to talk feel free to call me at 613-376-6141. $1,200 plus shipping. Thanks for looking. Don.

Shipping Disclosure
International shipping to the United States certainly presents some specific challenges relative to U.S. Customs. FedEx advises that brokerage fees may be applicable based on the value of the shipment. What, if any, brokerage fee is determined by U.S. Customs and not Fed Ex so it is hard to determine an amount. FedEx has provided the following information which is a guideline from their experience.

Shipping costs themselves will be between $40 and $55 each depending on destination and depending on whether the shipping address is a residence or business. I believe this includes insurance based on the value stated in the shipping invoice.

FedEx thinks that if the value of each package is stated at less than $200 (EG - $190) there will be no brokerage fee from U.S. Customs. Again, that is just their opinion.

If each package has a value placed on it of $300 (for example) then the brokerage fee could be about $30 each.

I am prepared to have them valued at whatever the purchaser wishes and will only charge whatever the costs will be. Brokerage fees, if any, will be the responsibility of the purchaser on delivery, or you may receive a bill from U.S. Customs at a later time. I am willing to accept $100 toward shipping at time of sale and the exact remaining balance paid when shipped.

Sure sounds like a lot of BS, doesn’t it? I like to be up front and honest in my dealings and don’t want anybody getting upset two months from now when U.S. Customs possibly sends them a brokerage bill.

Now, if all that doesn’t turn you off or confuse you, then give them consideration as they are a real nice set of wheels.
