Darren:
Charlie said that he saw the car, knows the owner and saw the buildsheet for it. Why do we need a poll? JMO, Ed

The preverbial hattrick of validation. I could see the fake sheet(who would fake an auto is beyond me)but an actual car and owner is about as compelling as one could ask for.
27 of 600 documented ain't exactly conclusive. Wasn't there another reported one on the right coast?. I can easily see the owner of this one telling everyone to piss off after awhile. Charlie has been to a few rodeo's, why would he risk his reputation on a bogus car?

Actually I have not seen the sheet but other Camaro club members have that I trust as well as the owner have. Even if I laid eyes on the sheet myself there are those that won't believe.

I guess I just wanted to see what everyone thought. I can go on and on about how I really feel about this topic but I think that the poll speaks for itself. And I am happy with the results so far.

Another member and I were discussing this and he brought to my attention that at one time he owned a '70 L78 Nova with a T-400.
If they would build one in a Nova why not a Camaro? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

They definitely built one in a Camaro in 1970... the Z28. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif So using your logic, if they built one in a Camaro Z28 why not a Camaro 396?! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif

This isn't meant to imply anything towards Charlie, but hasn't there been one very prominent 427 Camaro guru who has risked his reputation to ruin?
