I just told my father that,he is 86 yrs old,he had that book and his mother (my grandmother) thru them away when he went into the army back in 1943,he had all of them.He said he bought one every week when he was a kid and had them in the closet and when he got home from the service they were trashed after a cleaning. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif

My great uncle had the early issues, he was one of the original artists for the Superman series. He loaned a few of the issues to a relative years back and they never returned.

What a bummer.

I have a couple of thousand bagged and boxed. Many early #s and $.12 issues.
Have never read a comic book in my life...............just have always like to collect things.............maybe I am a hoarder..
