I am restoring an original LA built 67 Nova SS currently to driver quality. I just replaced the original calipers and cleaned up the distribution block and master cylinder, but there was no proportioning valve used like the one you have pictured. The car I am working on is manual brakes, front four piston calipers, rear drum. On most cars I assemble, I use that proportioning valve, but they are usually single piston calipers and running a booster. I have never used that brass distribution block with exception to later model cars. You can get away with using your original cast piece. I'll snap some pictures of this car tomorrow if you'd like as it is quite original.

Yes....That would be great!! My car had the brakes taken off and I'm trying to put them back on and the information I receive is always faint due to no one knows 67 Nova brakes!! Very frustrating for sure. This is what I have for the car. All numbers to the 67 Nova brakes....Calipers, Spindles, backing plates, aftermarket hoses. My short Caliper lines were used to make the ones in the 'FINE LINES" company. All I need is what is above that. Have NOS calipers and spindles, backing plates as spares. Have 10 sets of NOS pads in boxes as well.

I would be very happy to talk about whatever info that would help me in any way!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif I have been looking for 10 years getting parts together to finish this! Thanks!

As a kid back in 76 I had a 66 Chevy II SS that I was working on . I was chasing parts rebuilding it when I stumbled across a guy in Cherry hill Nj. who had a bunch of parts. Mind you I had an all original loaded car but wanted a 12 bolt and other neat stuff. Well he took me in his garage and showed me a complete disc brake set up off a 67 Nova. I really should of bought that set up for the whopping 100.00 he wanted for it. I called him back a day or 2 later and they were gone. Back then the Tradin times was the place to sell or buy stuff. I was working at the local Chevy dealer thru a co-op program and bought a Complete NOS disc brake set up every part new from them and put them on my car . That was 77 it didn't stop there while looking to buy a car I could actually drive daily I found a 70 Nova 350 4spd in the tradin times in Doylestown, it was ok but I didn't buy it But I did buy the NOS 12 Bolt Disc Brake service rear the guy had in his garage for $100.00 . Now you probally figured out where that went . Yes I may have had the first 4 wheel disc brake Chevy II SS and this was 1977. I did finally get a car I could drive to high school and work that year , it was an LS-6 with a 4:56 gear , still have it today !!!!!

I guess they didnīt sell that many 1967 Chevy II cars over here, but all of them supposedly had disc brakes.
