It was restored locally here in WI and a regular sight at Cruise Nites years ago.

Nice car, I wonder what the original interior color was?

So has this guy claimed his prize? The spelling is different on the site of past winners. I happen to have the same spelling of the name listed (which is not the same as spelling above in previous post).

The reason I ask is that I am pretty sure I entered the drawing, I have the same name and live in the same state.

There is an interesting twist to this story. Some of the CRG Board have been discussing it off line. It started with this link to the cars used in the 'Bewitched' TV series.

http://www.imcdb.org/movie_57733-Bewitched.html

One of the shows featured an Olympic Gold/white/black '69 Camaro SS convert. You can't tell from the link but if you watch the DVD the car is a 396. That's an odd car I thought to myself.

Then the light went on.

About 20 years ago one of our good CPX customers, Dan, bought a ’69 Camaro SS convertible from a Camaro dealer in KY as a restoration project. I recall thinking the original colors-Olympic Gold, white top, black custom interior-were odd for a convertible. It had a rare combination of options: 396, automatic, A/C, VE3 bumper. Also, it did not have style trim group.

That is an extremely unusual combination of trim and equipment and not only matches the Bewitched car; it was an early production LA car. It virtually has to be the same car.

Dan restored the car in Garnet Red, added spoilers, RS equipment, SS wheels. He wouldn't do that today but that's what was common in the '90s. Body tag was not touched. Sold the car years ago. It ended up as the prize in this raffle.

The car had its 15 minutes of fame - twice!

Interesting William. I used to watch that show, but I don't remember that car. I do remember the show with the blue 68 SS 396 convertible. There was also a red 67 Camaro convertible in the same show.

I still wonder if the prize has been claimed.
