As I said before car came out of KY. all leaded top , good old boys cut the top with a torch ,stick welded it in & leaded it in.

Went to the local bar a month ago ,came home semi-fubared. I sat in the car and looked at the fire wall and figered a been can would hold better in a accident.
So I fixed that!!

That's a serious chop, Howie! It would have to be a blast to cruise around with a pack of Candy Cigarettes rolled up Milner-style in a white short-sleeve T-shirt while peering through that mailbox slot of a windshield!

OK, since you gave your permission, ............

First of all, the terms "Chopped" and "Dropped" take on a new meaning here. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Not hammering on Howie with these pix because God knows we've all been victims of our own mistakes. I'm just glad that:

1. He's actually gonna get this car on the road, and

2. It didn't do any permanent damage to the car, or to the Big Dummy that owns it! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And one during the reconstruction .......

OK Howie, fill us in with the details. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

And a reminder; I DO know where the dropped 'n drilled axle is.

OK what I did was use my hoist to take the body off. I chained all four corners put the hoist thru the door area.
Got the body in the air, while in the air the body rolled off the hoist on to the floor and bent the hell out it.

I now have it fixed!! The doors fit better than they did. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

The body was kinda twisted. I welded the back halve to the frame. Then pulled the front area up and side ways.

Over the weekend I filled in the tail light area & cut areas for the tear drop ones
