Thanks LSZ.
So Motion didn't use lakewoods ?
This would have been added in the early to mid 70's

I'm pretty sure a customer of Motion Performance could get any brand of traction bar they wanted. One of the other brands Motion used was ET.

Thanks again.
Any idea what year these bars were made ?

My guess is 1970+. I don't realy know specifically. I think Lakewood made early ones which were less rectangular.

I've also seen some Competition ENgineering bars which loos similar to yours, but there isn't a brack on the rear tail, which I think is more of a street benefit than a race-track one.

Around late 1971 or so Lakewood came out with the narrower bar. Looks like a Lakewood snubber too. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

And thanks again for the info. This car has a 454 block that was added to it. The best I can decode it was a truck engine from 1974 245 hp. Attached is the pad stamp. Anyway Motion could have installed this in the 70's also?

I like the Mirror and Magnifying glass set up. I have to go steal my Wife's makeup mirror and throw that puppy in the tool box

The mirror works well, then you just open the photo in paint , hit image on the tool bar then select flip/rotate.
Save the photo and you can read it real easy.
