I just wanted to tell you folks you are wrong about your for sale area for members only. I have sold alot of parts on here and elsewhere as well most all was for 69 chevelles and camaros some may remember me posting mega list and selling just about all the stuff,I am cleaning out the garage again and selling my chevelle too and i cant post here without being a member. Well the good news is someone will buy my stuff, the bad news is you folks here wont have that chance. This is a rule that only hurts the bad sellers out there not the good ones. Thanks
Some may remember me because of buying my parts my name is Darryl Messer and i live in Aiken, SC

So why not become a member?
Darryl
For as little as $25 for 1 year, you can post in the classifieds. CLICK HERE (http://www.yenko.net/member.htm)
Is that really too much to ask, seeing as you sold "just about all the stuff" on here anyway?

Darryl,
Do you think that the Geek Squad and thecomputer fairy do the computer work for free? I'm going to guess here, but I almost think that Rob and his dad have paid someone to host this, do the template, etc. A friend of mine has a board for an industry thing, and last year he spent $5900 on it between hosting, servers, updates, problems, etc.
For the money that yourself have AND would be making from selling stuff on here, you can flip them $25. Does ebay let you sell for free? How about your local Auto trader or Deals on Wheels. Heck, how about the newspaper?
Thank you sYc for having us.

Chad, For one thing i try not to ebay because on there it is the man with the most $$$$$$$ that gets the part i am a firm beliver in first come first gets the prize so i post a price and whoever sees it first gets it. as far as paying a fee for hosting, i understand its not free but i just dont see someone that post parts once a year as anything as a win for you guys and i think its YOUR LOSS, but i will let you battle the ebay game if you want

I'm replying to your other posted topic here,as was explained to you.
This "New" rule isn't really that new.If you frequented here more often you'd know that by now..
This website reaches many knowledgeable & dedicated enthusiasts that other mediums don't,as well as nearly immediate answers to questions, like you had asked of you,so is asking for a small donation of at least $25 for 12 months of classified posting really that much more to ask?
The benefits to selling/buying here are priceless, and if you participated here more often,I'm sure you'd realize that.

But i have to put up with people like the one gb70, I am not an internet chat person. I dont deal with dumb*** comments very well so i just do my own thing. I just think this is a stupid rule on your part for the members of this board. But i will sell my parts at Auto Fair in Charlotte and your folks wont get there chance anyway so if you will just remove me from any further connection with this board and we will get along fine... Thanks

You can choose to list on ebay with a set price to acheive your first come...first serve agenda.
Here's an example:

I see a simple solution to this, Get a membership and abide by the rules or leave.
Hey, I resent that. My reply was something like "become a member" and "ROFLOL" to a very funny video.
Look, all the post you have conributed to this site since 2007 is really all about your wallet. This really is a great site for many different reasons. Your the first on this site to call me a dumb ass and I have a relatively low member number, so I have been here a while, not just trying to push parts. Have I sold off of this site: Yes. Have I also contributed to this site appreciating projects or a like: Yes.
$25 for a full year is a small amount to pay. You may also learn something new, or make a few freinds, and enjoy a kick ass site.
By the way, I am really a nice guy FWIW, but if you were around here you would already know that http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif so watch it with the remarks K?

Darryl,
I have a question. How much does it cost for a spot or two at the Auto Fair in Charlotte? You only have a $25 expense here compared to gas, lodging, Swap Spots, etc.
This is the main reason why I quit selling at Jefferson, Carlisle, Daytona, Charlotte, etc. I haven't swapped out of state in 5 or 6 years because of this.
For me to go to a somewhat decent show close to me is Jefferson. Thats 4-5 hours away depending on what we drive there. So 2-4 tanks of fuel, 2 nights of hotel rooms, swap spots at 50-100 per spot, money lost from taking time off, etc.... So I end up giving awa $500-800 worth of parts away to break even.
Second thing, I haven't been to Daytona or the Auto Fair in Charlotte for a few years..but as a seller in the last 5 years people get rude to the sellers. Doesn't matter if YOU or I tell tell a person 100-1500 for a part, they cut the price in half and wonder why you don't take it. This has been done to me over 100-200 between the last 3 decent meets we vended at. One example a set of NOS 074's that I had there..that were still in the boxes. People choked at a 2k price tag on them and couldn't figure out why I wouldn't take $750-1000 for them.
That was my last summer of being a decent swapper bringing out good stuff. Hopefully you can read through what myself, Rick and a few others are saying. Just weed through the bs comments.

I have some things I'm going to be selling too, not near as valuable as what you have, but I'll pay the $25.00 here and offer it to these guys first. I've been thinking of taking it all to a swap meet, but I don't deal well with the mentality of a lot of the prospective buyers. And my time is more valuable these days, probably because it's running out faster. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

gb70, I said: But i have to put up with people like the one gb70, I am not an internet chat person. I dont deal with dumb*** comments very well so i just do my own thing.
I didn't call you a dumb ass i was referring to you thinking the video was funny. As far as paying to be a member, I don't think so. I am selling ALL my car stuff off and not doing the car scene anymore.
Smokie i agree with you but sometimes i spend more time packing and shipping and dealing with BS over net than its worth. I have ALOT of parts left but not all things can be sold on the net and i only sell off a list or 2 a year but now i am down to the I HAVE BEN STASHING IT AWAY STUFF.
The hard part is the original parts are gettin hard to find and most people here want the #s stuff and thats what i have But i am not allowed to sell
"1970Ls6 I see a simple solution to this, Get a membership and abide by the rules or leave."
I am abideing by the rules, I haven't posted any parts for sale. Last time i checked this is AMERICA and i can complain about something without your permission.

And I see a simple solution as well..."Mr. dtgtrhhtrh hthr" (is that German? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif )
It's the same as what 1970LS6 said. (he's a smart guy for only being 19).
Look, there are plenty of other muscle car sites out there that you can sell your stuff on...and a lot of us are on the the other sites as well. The only problem is...most of those require some type of membership fee to sell on as well...
There is really no need to come on this site and complain about something that you have no control over. It won't change anything http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beers.gif
Try your local Craigslist, it's free, no boxing, no shipping, local enthusiast come to you. I prefer Ebay, it reaches more out there, you could do the "Buy it now" at a set price YOU predetermine. Yes, you have to box and ship, but it reaches way more people that can really use "the part". If you payed for a membership here you still would have to box and ship anyways but I am sure someone here would appreciate the parts for their projects. For the cut Ebay takes it would be cheaper here.

Agreed...and that's a pretty big accomplishment in itself. I think enough folks have piled on this one, besides the guy is no longer here anyhow. The classifieds rules are not new, they are easy to understand. If anyone doesn't like them they can buy & sell elsewhere, simple as that.
I'm hereby closing this one down. -JB
