Haven't moved yet. First we need to sell this house in Maryland, and it's on the market now. We would like my son to finish his school year out in June before we move, but that is subject to change if this house sells quickly.

After all of this snow and the extreme winter we've had, I don't care how hot it is. I'll just drink plenty of water, apply liberal amounts of sunblock, and where a hat. It's a small price to pay for leaving snow shovels, snow blowers, lawn mowers, and ice melt behind. Thanks Bill. I don't know about palacial, but we bought a larger home because of all of the friends and relatives who will no doubt be staying with us. So far, one of Claire's co-worders will visit in July, and her uncle will be visiting later in the year.

Hey, congrats Rick! Welcome to the Phoenix area.

I too will be moving back at the end of June and I share your sentiment. I was slightly sick of the heat when I left, but after 7 years on the East Coast and this past winter and current spring, I'll take the heat.

And yep, just wait 'til everyone starts piling in your home. My family had the same thing--constant visitors until pretty much everyone eventually moved to the area.
