How many of our members are either blood donors or organ donors?
and if you are a blood donor, how long have you been donating? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/youguysrock.gif

I am a blood donor, and have been since april 2006. I was asked by my mom and my grandfather, who both donated blood, to try it once, and i have donated ever since that day, and when i donate, i always hope i help someone like Holly that really needs it. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

Both. We have a blood drive at work 2-3 times a year. I've been involved since the inception. After meeting Bruce, Lynn and Holly, ........ I signed on as an organ donor.

I signed up to donate my organs (if need be) when I was 17 years old...I still have that Ca. license...I also donated platelets and plasma frequently at the Santa Ana Red Cross as well!

Those were two of the 'few' smart things that I did when I was young http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks Reid...for donating blood!

I have never weighed enough to give blood, but am registered as an organ and tissue donor. I have also informed my family of my wishes (that I wish to donate ALL of my organs and tissues...whatever is needed).

If you're in Michigan it's real easy to register. You can do it online (@ Michigan.gov). It only takes a few seconds and they send you a "heart" to put on your license.

Coming up to 64, I didn't think that there was much in this old body worth donating. After talking to Bruce, I realize
that I am more valuable than I thought. So are all of you.

Thanks Keith...

And Rita, you've probably seen my oldest sister's best friend on TV in Michigan...she does a ton of stuff for the donation agencies there.

She lost her son quite a few years ago to a freak accident and the the first person she talked to after letting my oldest sister know-was me...

She decided to donate his useable organs...and we talked, laughed and cried (lots of crying actually) for about 3 hours.

Her name is Cynthe....and she rocks!
