i was contacted today by someone from Kurman communicatons looking for a 60's style dragster they need for a movie. i did a 3 minute spot on WGN a couple years ago with them, thats how they got my name. they need it for a prop, no actors will drive it or start it. they start filming may 26th thru august but wont need the car the entire time. they werent told the location yet, but its somewhere in the chicago area. if anyone is interested let me know and ill give the contact number out.

Talk to Cumby. He knows some local guys with what you might be looking for.

Jeff,
What are they looking for? Door slammers, Gassers, FEDs? I know of a few in each category; some are even in your neighborhood!

Down here; Brian Fox and Joe Hendricks come to mind first. Both are killer FEDs with the correct 'period look'!

thanks for all the leads guys......what they want is a front engine dragster from the 60's era. they did say that they will be compensated for using the car in the movie. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif i have not been told who the actors are yet.

Dennis......PM me your number please.

Mr. Cumby, I seen this thread earlier today and thought of our friend Brian and the King Chassis Zorba's Ghost FED. I even talked to Brian and told him to possibly expect an E-Mail from you this weekend. Let me know if you want his contact info and don't already have it.

Here's a poor shot of Brian's FED. This car is true to the day and ANYONE would have trouble picking the car apart in a movie. Single hoop chassis, Hilborn twin port, weed sweepers, Fantastic period correct paint scheme w/ varigated Gold Leaf lettering, ........ And as an added bonus, ........ his tow/push vehicle just SCREAMS nostalgia! (HINT: Check out the 1st gen Riv in the background!)
Brian Fox knows Nostalgia Fuelers! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/cool.gif

It was good seeing you yesterday Mr. Cumby at the swap meet. Brian Fox is a rare bread these days and can do wonders with metal.
