Who is recomended for supplying engine parts. Stock replacement pistons, rings, camshaft and lifters(solid) etc. for a 69 427 COPO motor? Part #s? I briefly looked thru Jegs and Summitt and don't see a reference to stock replacement parts.

Camshaft & lifters I can get you...as for the rest of the engine parts, about anywhere could fix you up, from mild to wild. A set of blueprint TRW pistons would be as close to "original" as you can currently buy new (but they're gonna be heavy, and out of spec), and rings you can buy anywhere...the rest of the rotating assembly you could find original parts and recondition them, or buy new from several manufacturers. What are you plans for the engine?

Restoring a 69 COPO. Will have maybe 1 tank of fuel run thru it a year.Have 3/8 dimple rods and 6223 crank. Machine shop is going to cross over the GM piston # that came out of the motor and see what they come up with. Going to call Comp cams tech line and see what they say for a replacement solid lifter cam.Not trying to redesign the world, just get back to stock.
Thanks for the reply, Andy.

Comp will have a cam that will be in the same zip code, but that will be as close as it gets...someone here on this site mentioned just this week that they got a cam from Comp that was supposed to be their restoration grind, and it was a tight lash cam with augmented specs. It would work, and work fine, but won't be identical to stock...

However (wait for it! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif ) we actually cnc copied the correct cam, and do a "group buy" from time to time...matter of fact, I've had a little interest lately, so maybe you could go that direction.

Looks like you have the rods/crank covered, and the TRW L2268F pistons would be the closest to stock (I believe that's the correct #, someone might wanna check that).

I would be interested in more info on this "group buy" cam.
