I mistakenly left the center storage door ajar on my '69 Corvette and the lamp must have drained the battery over the course of a week.
I have my charger hooked up to the battery but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.
Could I have completely ruined the battery or are these type of batteries unable to be charged like the older style batteries?

I use a Ctek Charger that has a special setting for Gel Cel and dry cell batteries. I have had Optima's for 5 years and have never had one drain down, but I have heard stories of them giving out completely.
Try a Ctek charger and see if that helps.

If it won't take any charge, hook up a second battery that will take a charge. Then you can force it to take a charge. Once it takes some charge you should be able to remove the second battery.
