I got to tour his collection a couple times during the Peach State Chevelle show. There are about 65 to 70 cars in the collection. He sold all his Hemi cars a few years ago when the values went crazy. He has quite a few rare Pontiacs like a few Super Duty cars, 3 or 4 RAIV cars and the only 1992 Trans Am Firehawk convertible ever built. He also has several 1950s factory fuel injected and supercharged cars. There is something special about almost all the cars in the collection. See the links below for some details of the collection. The photobucket link is pictures a friend took during the last time I was there in 2008.

Mockingbird812, yes that car is a survivor with original paint and stripes that have cracked all over except the hood. The hood was repainted in the late 70's early 80's and the hood stripe was replaced at that time. The last time I saw the car it had Corvette rallys all the way around on it. If anyone that goes to look at that car they need to look inside the trunk at the quarter panels and notice the lettering on the inside. I cannot remember if it was done on both sides or just one, but there will be the SYC hood logo arrow in there for some reason or another. Never got a strait answer from Jake before he passed away. The last time Milt sold off most of his collection was when Jake died, and a few of the cars ended up with Kevin Suydam in Washington. Two that Kevin still shows to own are the orange 68 Dana Camaro, and the yellow 69 Baldwin/Motion Camaro. I guess Milt needs some more room.

Thanks Julian. Looks like a honey. Don't see too many survivor sYc's out there.

That 69 Firebird RAIV ragtop has to be the only one in existance. I recall they only made a few hardtops, I have no idea on the ragtop nummbers. That's a rare car...and a black four speed car to boot! DAMN!

Looks Liberty Blue to me.

They made 17 of them, and there's more than 1 that exists.

Looks like production was 157 total RAIV's for '69, 55 of which were T/As.

I can't tell the color from looking at the photos on my POS laptop. Blue would be just as cool as black. Love that parchment interior.

I don't remember if the engine is the original or not, I think it may be. There was an article done on it back in 87 or 88 in one of the muscle car magazines and it may have stated it in there.

1969 Firebird 400 RAIV breakdown:

Total Coupe : 85
TH400 : 27
4-speed : 58

Total Convertible : 17
TH400 : 5
4-speed : 12

Milt's is one of the twelve 4-speeds produced. A rare Bird indeed. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/worship.gif

I don't remember if it does or not as it has been a while since I last looked at the car.

Yes this car is blue. Milt at one time has owned some other rare convertible Ponchos: the only 69 Trans Am with a blue top, Gold 69 FB 400 "show car" that was loaded, 57 Fuelie Bonneville, and a red on red RA IV Judge (either 1 of 1 or 1 of 2 in that color combo). Most of his rarest cars were always convertibles: 68 Z-28, 70 Hemi Cuda, 71 Hemi Cuda, a bunch of Chrysler letter cars, a 68 L89 Camaro, 68 or 69 L88 Corvette just to mention a few.

I believe Phil S. owns 69 TA Conv, with a blue top, so I believe there was another one.

At the Pontiac Nationals in Greenville a few years ago he had the Triple Black RA IV 69 Judge Conv, and the Red, white top, Red int RA IV 70 Judge Conv very nice cars from Milts collection.

Steve I remember Jake (JT) and Milton stating it was the only blue top Trans Am produced in a convertible and it was an automatic. The one he owns now is the only triple white one and it is a 4spd. Maybe there were two built I don't know. No matter what they are the rarest of all Trans Ams.

My old TA vert that Phil now has is a blue top 4 speed with blue deluxe interior. Jorge also has a blue top auto I think.

I consider Phils the best of the 8 based on options and condition.

I wonder why Jake told me it was the only one produced back then. Maybe it was the white top/white interior car he has now, but the one I looked at was an automatic. My memory isn't as good as it once was.

Does Milt have a '69 RA IV TA in his collection? Didn't notice one shown on Mecum site. If not, I wonder why?
