Is there a correct fan clutch in the GM inventory these days? Heartbeat City has this one (http://www.heartbeatcity.com/store/product/13571/Camaro-Fan-clutch--302--396--%26-AC--69/) listed and I was not sure it was correct. It looks very similar to my original one.

Thanks! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Sam,
Rick's has a AC Delco type for $120.00 that looks just like the original, except it won't have the Eaton stamp on it.I also bought one of these a couple years ago from Rick's when my Eaton clutch started to have a little play in it.

Ed - now that is just not helpful! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/mad.gif I don't know where you get off providing such obviously unhelpful input...... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/whistle.gif

Agreed - They make stamps with the curved "EATON" and the "CV" or "CZ" stamp too.

I don't know Eddie - it's kind of hard to improve on perfection <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif! Besides, I don't want no solid lifter Chevy exhaust note with an Italian accent!!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/no.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/thumbsdown.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

Chevrolet Parts Interchange Manual indicates that the fan clutch for a '69 302 and a '70 Z28 are both GM part #3991430. The on-line parts stores that offer the "correct fan clutch for a '69 Z28" have not indicated that they are ALSO correct for a '70 Z28. Does this info jive with what you guys know?

Thanks!

Nuttin' personal mind you Sammy (& Eddie), but its kind of like watchin' them old classic Japanese monster movies (Godzilla, Gamera, Mothra,) that are subtitled and dubbed in English. Cool movies to be sure but it just doesn't quite sound right compared to the images you are seeing!! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/naughty.gif <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif
