Hi Gents,

Putting an interior in a '58 Corvette. The car's seat adjusters are frozen to the seat frames. Here is the problem... there are four bolts directly beneath the seat frame I need to remove in order to physically remove it from the interior.

If the adjusters engaged, I would be able to slide the seat frame + adjuster forward enough to remove these four bolts. But since the adjuster is frozen to the frame, I cannot slide the frame on the track. I tried spray lube and a hammer - did nothing.

Does anyone have any removal suggestions or tips? Heat is not an idea practice here because the fiberglass floor would melt.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

If you can find it, use some "Let Go" if not, Liquid wrench, spray and wait, repeat, use a bigger hammer.

Maybe "Kroil". It is a penetrating type spray that does crazy things.

Thanks guys... Man were those seat frames bone dry. I used copious amounts of PB and some PreLube 6. I'll purchase some of the Let Go and Kroil. It appears this car is going to be one of those "dry" cars.

Thanks again.

It seems like it may be better to buy this online. Maybe you can find it out your way. There is one shop in Santa Cruz that carries it. The shop here charges $20 a can and its worth it.
