Yes, one of the most amazing eBay stories I ever followed. What a find, and what a lucky seller!

I had the honor of meeting the owner this past weekend at Meadowbrook, a super nice guy.
Another fantastic Scott Tiemann restoration. If all goes well, this car will be joining us for the MCACN II show in November.

Does that seem weird to anyone else? Any ideas regarding what he's talking about?

I looked through all the feedback, the buyer & seller never left any .... ?
My guess is that the buyer wanted to stay anonymous ...

Shortly after the car sold on e-bay, the original aluminum front end was apparently located...Does anyone know if the new owner was able to re-unite the body with the original front end?

The original aluminum doghouse location had been known for years. The story on
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=307326
says the price and condition were such that the new owner of the car felt it was more reasonable to have a whole new front clip fabricated rather than to mate the original front clip with the rest of the car.
