We're only a few weeks out from this year's Supercar Reunion, so this is just a reminder to those folks who plan on drag racing at Gateway on the 3rd that you need to give some thought to having your car ready for the tech inspection!

I would really like to see everyone with a helmet on, regardless of et/mph, battery hold down, a driveshaft loop if you're running stickies, a catch can, etc, etc. If you're not sure, don't hesitate to ask!

...Legal, as in "there is no need to lock-up the women and children"?

Thought I'd bump this to the top, so everyone who's planning on racing can give their car(s) a quick check while they are loading their trailers.

Make sure your lug nuts are tight, battery is held down tightly, give all the rubber lines/hoses a quick check...and double throttle springs, a driveshaft loop for slick tire'd cars [although I've seen a 13 second car break a shaft on Polyglass before!], a catch can of some type would all be nice to see...and remember, a helmet, long pants [no shorts], no tank tops/cut off shirts [t-shirts are fine], no open toe'd shoes. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but it's all simple stuff, so just be smart about it...and if something gets missed and you notice it at the track, just holler and I'll bet we can get it fixed, we're easy to work with!

Let's make this as safe & fun as possible! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/3gears.gif

Yesterday, while coming home from the Oshawa Autofest, we stopped to help a lad sitting on three wheels and a hub on the side of the road. The lug nuts were gone and they found the wheel up in the woods. Lucky for him he was going slow on a secondary road and close to home. More than just the racers need to do a walk around once in a while. It's just good standard practice. Might want to do a tire pressure check. Nothing kills radial tires quicker than low tire pressure. Look around and it is amazing at the number of soft tires that are on cars.
