A few weeks ago I posted my 64 A/FX Comet for sale on this site. I know the site is mostly Chevy oriented but a lot of the members appreciate different cars;especially of this era.

I guess what amazes me is when you look at any of the vehicles posted in the For Sale section;there are hundreds of views with -0- replies. That includes Chevelles, Novas, Camaros;all the cars that typically are topical on this site.

No one is opening up their wallets these days. Everyone is afraid of what's going to happen next. People don't spend money on hobbies, when they worry about paying the mortgage!

It's a sad state of affairs-----

The reason you are seeing -0- replies in the classified sections, are because you can't reply in those forums anymore, only the seller can post publically. You as an interested buyer have to contact the seller privately now.
I'm seeing cars & memorabilia sell today,it's just a matter of buyer & seller agreeing on a price.

The classified section is a "listing only" area. No replies are allowed in the classified section. Anyone wishing to reply must do so through a private message or e-mail. That keeps people from posting their personal opinions of the item wanted or for sale. If someone feels a need to comment, they have to do as you did and start another thread. Personally, I think it is an improvement. Others may differ.

Classified area is just fine the way it is. New rules are working nicely.

Is the person who made the original post allowed to update the thread if reduced or sold?

Yes. I have sold a couple of my parts and I have updated them. You can also reduce your price but it won't put the ad back to the top. If you want to do that you have to post a new ad.
