When I was growing up in Glendale Oregon, a guy just up the street from me had a corvette. I didn't really pay any attention to it until he died, and I learned from my cousin that it was a 1969 L88.
As the story goes, this guy wanted an automatic, but for some reason couldn't get one. So, he bought a 4-speed car, and immediatly put an automatic tranny in it. He drag raced it for a while, but by the time he died (about 10 years ago) it had sat in an open sided building for many years, and had very few miles on it. I think it was still pretty much original, except for the tranny, and the front fenders had been flared at some point. I do believe that it still had it's original engine.
The car was a medium blue, and the original owners name was Ronny Meyers. I think that his heirs took it back east someplace to have it restored.
I know that this is not much to go on, but I wondered if anyone on here might know of this car, and what has become of it?
