I sold my '70 LS5 last year because I had only driven it about 100 miles in 18 months and I got into air cooled Porsches for the first time in my life. I checked last night, and I've put 1,000 miles on my C2 and about 400 on my C2S this year. I drive one of them every weekend, but to be honest, I thought I would do at least 5,000 miles/year of fun cruising. Just wondering, how many miles/year are you guys putting on your muscle cars????

I probably have gone 100 miles in the last two years for one reason or another and probably a total of 1200 miles in 6 years. If I lived out west I might be inclined to use it more but I'm not sorry I don't.

Does Power Tour count? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif

I'm finding they're more fun when you get them out of the trailer. Probably close to 2000 miles this year.

700 miles on both my 70 Chevelle LS6 + 70 Challenger R/T S.E.
Would of been much more if it did not rain on the cruise in nights or if i had less cars than 4.

I try to put at least 1000 miles per car a year as it is great for the car's lubrication and fuel system.
The guy that owned my challenger before me only put 300 miles in 8 years. I think that's bad for the car as the fuel does not change enough for the carb to run right.
I had to tweak/tune the carb before i started using the car on a more regular basis.
Even though my cars looks like trailer queen's, I drive them.
Nice sunny days won't hurt the car.

5000 miles on the hemi Charger in 23 years.

200 on the T/A so far in six years (199 of it in the past 3 weeks)!

7000 on the viper in 17 years (all in the first 7 years - 75% at Sebring, at speed).

106,000 on my 95 diesel Suburban in 15 years. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/burnout.gif

Since the fall of 1997, we've averaged about 2800 miles a year on the old Chevelle.

Can't say how many per year, but my 70 SS just turned 22,230 today since it's been restored, the 69 Malibu has about 13,000 or so since completion and the Charger turned 5100 last time I drove it.

I manage to put on between 200 and 300 miles on each of my three cars during the summer months.

Another question for those driving 'em....over the past 10 years I've seen fewer and fewer nice cars attending cruise nights up here. I can remember being at a cruise with my '67 Z parked next to a buddy's '67 Z and that was beside a couple of COPO's etc. We just don't see that anymore because the cars got too expensive for people to drive. I haven't attended a cruise at all this Summer and wondered are better cars coming out again now that prices have fallen?

It is funny you mention miles driven. My 70 L78 had 53,650 on it when I got it (off road since 76), did a frame off and then put about 3250 on it over the past 2 1/2 years. Today, while doing my normal crack of dawn cruise to the ocean (where if you are not there by 7am, you are shut out of a 150 car or so lot)I looked down at the odo and it was turning over to 57,000, but never made it. While all 4 numbers were turning, it must have stripped that 40 year old gear and never turned, then the speedo started bouncing. A project for another day...

WOW.....good question!
That's the main reason my 67 SS 427 Impala is for sale. In 5 years, I've driven it just over 1300 miles..........

NOW...the Camaro is another story. Bought it in 1984 w/971 miles on it and I now have a whopping 2190 miles on it! MMMM? that averages out to about 47 miles a year! Maybe I should sell that too! Anybody out there with a couple of bucks?

I think I was putting 1500 to 2000 miles a year on my 70 L78 Camaro while I had it. It was never put away for the winter and I drove it pretty much every month. Got caught in snow showers a couple of times too! I miss hitting the cruise nights and shows with it.

I am driving about 1000 miles per year, and that is spread out over
5 cars. So far this year the Charger has been used about 300 miles and same for the Chrysler 300.i My Hurst and 71 W30 have only been out to one cruise each and the 66 W30 has not left the building.
The year aint over yet.

Amy's Nova has 25,000+ on it since it was finished 3 summers ago. We drive it everywhere. 4 Hot rod Power tours, 3 SCR, Mother Road Cruise, Tenessee Rumble and numerous blasts down the dragstrips. Great Lakes, Gateway, Topika, Bristol TN, Kilkare in Ohio. Just put a new hoops on it and changed the gear to a 3.55.
