I will get things going with mine.
i set a new personal best, and the car was only 2 100ths off the best time it has ever ran, my best was 14.76 @ 93.02 mph just for your info that was at 12:59 in the afternoon, and the best it has ever ran was 14.74 on a 60 degree october night.

Again, another GREAT weekend of cars, fun and FRIENDS. The weather couldn't have been better and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in a totally relaxed manner. Things just seemed to flow along.

So once again, my Sincere Thanks to the Clary Family and all the sYc folks who make this all happen. With the dismal reports about the future of Gateway we just have to hope things turn around so we can all go play again next year, ..... but if not, we'll have to work on a Plan B.

Hope everyone had a safe and uneventful trip home and we're looking forward to seeing many of you at the <span style="font-weight: bold">MCACN</span> in November. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif

I made about 11 passes in my Black Camaro with a best time of 13.50 @ 103.XX ? Still need to work on the 60 foot thing.. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/mad.gif

Grady had a personal best in his Red 67 L88 Camaro of 11.99 @ 115, he was happy <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif
Needless to say , track day was fun.

Out newest acquisition, a Yenko Deuce, was one of those cars that several folks knew of, but passed on because of it being a racecar. On the other hand, a dream car to me, a Yenko drag car.

When Doug Perry ran across the car, he called me, knowing I was into Yenkos and racecars. I checked my list, than double-checked with Marlin, who just happened to know about the car. Once confirmed that it was indeed a Yenko, Doug helped me put a deal together, then off to PA to pick up the car. He and Dave M. were gracious enough to tag along and help, as we were to do an engine swap before loading the car.

The car was sold out of Central Chevrolet in Cleveland, Forest Green four-speed car. Appears to have been turned into a racecar early on, as the Speedo has just a tad over 2000 miles. Sometime later in life it was sold and taken to Columbus. There it was raced hard, winning a Div. 3 championship in 1990. It then sold (via an ad in National Dragster) to the guy in PA who I bought it from, who bracket raced it.

When I got the car home, I had it media blasted then off to the paint shop. At the same time I took the engine to the local machine shop.

We got the body back to our shop on August 20, with the goal to have it ready for SCR13. With the help of Rob, Mo and Jcat, we were close, and then Schonye and Cumby stepped in and helped me get a good set of stripes to complete the exterior.

The car is very solid, the dash and firewall intact, interior is complete with original headliner, dash, door panels, etc. It has been back halved with ladder bar suspension, Dana with 5:13s, PG trans. Glass hood, front fenders and rear deckled. Lexan for glass. The motor is a 350CI, bored to 355, putting out about 550HP.

After a couple of shakedown runs at the SCR, I ran a 10.77 at 122.99. My goal was 10.50s, and with some chassis tuning, I think is obtainable.

I cannot thank everyone enough who had a hand in me getting the Deuce, than getting it to the SCR.

Sam, I have not installed the YC-310HP. I want to get a good idea of how it runs with the current distributor .

Tom,was that 70 nova you have candy apple red when you bought it or could you post a picture of when it was bought?

Yeah..kind of a Candy color, with large multi-color stripes along the side.

I think that nova ran at Norwalk raceway alot.The qtrs the way they are cut they look the same.
