A friend of mine back in IL has a set of finned Mickey Thompson breathers for Mickey Thompson valve covers. He says they are polished up nicely and look perfect. He says they made two different sizes, and these are the larger of the two sizes. He has been looking around and has been unable to find any others for comparison. My questions...Does anyone know if these are really that rare? Anyone have any value guess-timates? TIA.

Without a picture, I would value them at about $200 in the high side for the pair. I'm sure there will be plenty who can say how they can be had for less, but clean examples are getting hard to find.

The one limiting factor with those, which does narrow the market is that they require a destructive install. Meaning you have once they are installed, if you remove them, there are holees and such left behind that don't look so good.

I have a few sets of the larger ones and they are hard to find in good condition. $200 a set would be good price but I have seen them go for more money on Ebay...

These are on ebay with the valve covers and the large breathers for $275 BIN.

How high have you seen them go on ebay for the breathers alone?

Here is a set that just sold recently... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MICKEY-TH...sQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MICKEY-THOMPSON-M-T-VALVE-COVER-BREATHERS-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2eafaa18a6QQitemZ20051 5655846QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccesso ries) In the past I seen them go higher. $275 is a good deal with the breathers and covers.
