Here's a few that I took there.
There's an unrestored Hemi Roadrunner, a brown with Parchment interior `69 GTO Judge, a few Hemi Dodges and Plymouths, a $500,000 invested Hummer, `62 409, etc.

I saw Colin and Johnny Horsepower (John Gust) on TV last night. It looks like they were both interested in a 440/6 car that went to an internet bidder <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Was that Randy's Z/28 I saw on TV?

Edit:after looking at the pics...yep! Hi Randy!

Bruce....that wasn't my car on TV in the evening....my car ran at 2:30 in the afternoon. The car you saw at night on TV was not as nice as my car and sold for 27K. My car bid to 35.5K and I chose to turn down the offer because I think I can get a few bucks more outside the Mecum auction and also save the 6% buyers fee.

Here's a couple pics of my car courtesy of Dan Vasic....

If anyone here from the site is interested, my reserve was 40K and I would sell here for 37.5K since a 6% buyers fee is no longer an issue. I would love to see someone from this site get it rather than a total stranger..a Yenko member will appreciate the detail I have put into this car and be more likely to keep it as I have done...a total stranger, who knows what they'll do <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif

Your Z looks great Randy. I think you made the right decision in not cutting her loose. If you can't get better than 35.5 hang on to her. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif

Did anyone get some good deals there?

I did noticed that the 1966 Belair 2Door Sedan was sold for $28,000 plus buyers premium.

Dan,

Did you by chance get a look @ S-69 a 1969 Green Hemi Road runner? Someone said it had an Elk Grove Village sticker on it and it was possibly my old car from 1974? I have the VIN if someone remembered any part of it.

Thanks

Was it light green? It might be the one that Colin was bidding on? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif

Bruce,

No it was F-6 green? looks a lot like Ralley Green. Bench seat, automatic on the column, 8 3/4 rear, drum brake car. I sold it in 1974 fro $1500.00 with 9,000 miles on it so I could by a boat & pitch beer cans out of it. Best time was 11:57 @ 125 mph at Great Lakes Drag -A- Way!

Is This (http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=CH1010-98376&entryRow=495) the car?

I believe that John and Colin were looking at his car... <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif

...Did anyone see the Rally Green COPO camaro go thru the auction?

Bruce,

That's it! If it is my old car, the mileage statement could be true, but the transmission case exploded on I-290 racing a 1969 Camaro and took out the floor pan. I must have put 3 different center sections & misc. axles in it out of junk cars @ Globe Auto Wreckers on Old Higgins road in Des Plaines Illinois. The car should have had a Dana in it. Teter Automotive out of Elgin Illinois built the engine in it. It was quick, and a GAS to drive on the street. I sure would like to talk to who ever bought it, I have some great history and a couple of photos of it from back in the day.

Last three digits of the VIN# are 296.

Bill:

We talked to the seller at the auction. He seemed to be pretty honest about the Road Runner. He said that the transmission was not original. He also said that they pulled the heads because one of the valves was loose. He said that the engine was not sleeved and a standard bore. I really liked that car alot! Ed

Thanks for the information. I feel better he told you the transmssion was NOT original. The left rear quarter was the only panel ever painted when I had it. The 14,000 miles could be real, being I sold it with 9,000 miles on it. My hunt continues for the buyer.....
