Looking through my magazine collection I came across this article on page 72 of 1991 Muscle Car Review, October Issue.

Bill, it`s such a small world. Got any pics of your wifes former car. Some guys were just born to own nothing but convertibles. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

I did a frame-off resto on this car from 1991 - 1994. These pics were taken around 1999 or 2000. We owned the car for 18 years and had a LOT of fun with it <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

Nice to see it again, what a beautifull car. Back when you could actually still find and buy parts for these cars!

There's little doubt that someone specifically ordered this car. For the most part, it originally came equipped like many in the day: 210 hp 327 (the base 8 cyl engine in full size 69 Chevys), Powerglide, power steering, AM radio, tinted glass, manual drum brakes. But then the two oddball options on an otherwise fairly basic car: power seat and Positraction. I added the 15x7 Rally wheels, G70-15 redlines, and AM-FM radio.

I was able to correspond with the original owner (a woman from the NW side of Chicago), who said in 1976 she traded the car in on (in her words) "a closed car" when she became a grandmother and had grandkids to transport. She purchased the car new from Brigance Chevrolet in Oak Park IL.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/youguysrock.gif
