66 impala factory tach hook up

stumbled across a factory tach for a 66 impala,need to see if it works,it has two studs on the back,anyone know how to wire it up? thanks

The stud with the red grommet on the back goes to the negitive side of the coil. The housing needs to be grounded.

Can you post a picture. One should say dist and the other should say 12V

Also, if you can post the part number that is ink stamped on the back it would help. If it's a TI ignition tach it won't hook up the same. That could damage it.
