On a Baldwin Motion car in addition to SS 427 what and where would Motion or Baldwin emblems or stickers be on a Camaro?
Anything in the interior? Engine compartment?

Anything in the ineterior? I've seen some fender Motion emblems for sale but have not seem any Camaros decorated with them. I have seen on Chevelle. 67-69 Camaros I've seen pictures of some have Mr Motion centered on rear bumper, and some motion club oo rear1/4 windows. I have yet to see one with any mention of Baldwin Chevrolet and I was curious.
Some fellas back then asked that the dealer sticker not be put on...especially when they put the sticker on the paint..........I asked that the Baldwin Chevrolet sticker not be put on.....

Joe's response to having a Baldwin Chevrolet sticker was pretty much the norm back in the day. Few people really cared about having Baldwin Chevrolet on their car. It was "Motion" that they were really buying and they usually wanted as many MOTION emblems as possible. The only status that Baldwin Chevrolet had was that they sold cars built by Joel Rosen at Motion Performance and sponsored some of Motion's racecars.
The MOTION emblems were also sold over the counter and via mail order from Motion Performance. They were status symbols of the era and often decorated non-Motion cars.

So then if you see a Motion car the emblems were placed at the discrection of the owner, Not necessarily by Motion Performance?

Not exactly. Joel often decided where and how many emblems to put on cars. It varied. Owners also bought extras and put them on. The cars you see in my book, MOTION Performance, Tales Of A Muscle Car Builder, were often photographed before owners took delivery so emblem placement was as built.
There are so many Baldwin-Motion clones and tribute cars out there that it's hard to tell what's right and wrong.

Marty,
that being said about the clones / tribute cars.
I plan on putting some on my valve covers and a set on the sides of the hood scoop.
Now my vette is not an original , nor will i ever claim it to be, so basic placement on the hood really won't matter as long as it will look good, correct?
Thanks,
Joe
