Just figured i would give it a shot and post on here to see if anyone has any history or info on the 9560 #29 vin 610123, i would like to see if anyone knows where this car ended up? I know the early history on this one from 69 until about 74 or so, is it in a barn, junkyard, crushed, bottom of a lake, being raced somewhere or used for parts? reply to this or send me an email

I don't know much, just that it was reputedly destroyed in a racing crash.
What dealer did your grandfather buy it at?

I have heard the car was raced by Bill McKay Cheverolet racing team for several years at the old Green Valley Race Way outside of Fort Worth. I cannot find anyone who new the car or any old pictres of it. Jeremy told me his grandfather purchased the car after its early race days and later sold it.

Hopefully 'got it' means more than the history he was seeking and actually the car itself?.
Congrats either way but please share more of what's happened!.
A newly discovered ZL1 would be very exciting!!!

Well, that's the 'Bill McKay Chevrolet' Super Stocker driven by Grady Bryant. McKay sponsored two 427 Camaros, the other driven by Sammy Kalil. I would guess from that black and white pic that it could be hugger orange but who knows...#29 was Hugger Orange 72-72

It was orange from the factory but was painted white and some other things done to it before hitting the track, notice the 2 carbs sticking out of the hood. I don't want to put too much info out there due to a few people trying to get this car or make a copy of it, there are some details and stories to come in the future when the time is right and as far as recent pics i can not put those up at this time, i know everyone wants to see but just can not do it at this time, thanks, Jeremy.

How could it be the wrong car?
On the first page of this thread he said the VIN was right.

Or maybe the firewall was right as he did say the car was wrong?.
Hopefully we're both wrong...and nobody's in the wrong?.
