I am posting this to ask for a little help. Spike TV and their Powerblock series are going to pick a viewer car for restoration. I submitted dads Z/28 for consideration. Some may remember the story on the car from my posts starting back in 2006.

Unfortunately there is nothing to update on the car since that post. My divorce is finally over and I made it out with my boys, my Nova and dads Camaro. Priorities have made the required shifts which has left the Camaro sitting. Reality is the car will not be done any time soon.
I was watching Spike last weekend and saw the commercial for the makeover. What I dream to happen here would be for the Camaro to get its well desreved restoration and when completed surprise dad by giving the car and full ownership back to him to enjoy once again. I truly don't know how he would want the car: stock resto, F.A.S.T. themed or Pro Touring. Anything is an improvement.
I am asking for help in nominating this car and my father. This would be the ultimate gift for him as a way for me to thank him for everything he has done for me over the years. The story is still amazing to me and judging by the responses I got after the feature in Hot Rod and Hemmings it touched alot of people and gave hope that their dream may still be hiding out there too. The story is 75% done for this car, it's the last 25% that's waiting to be written. I am attaching the link and info if anyone can take the time to help me with this.
