Does anyone know of a source for the plugs that screw into the early closed chamber BBC factory aluminum heads? Were they used in other applications?

Thanks,

Jason

Jason,
You might try to match one of the plugs from McMaster-Carr.

Hope this helps.

OK, I ordered some 1" plugs. I will post some pictures when they arrive.

Thanks,

The plugs came today. They look very good. A little tuning will be needed to make them look as original but very nice for generic units.

Thanks,

Jason

After a quick filing of the outer edge and glass bead blast:

Thanks, for those interested they were about $6 each from McMaster-Carr. They would work well to make 074 or 077 heads look earlier externally. Although the exhaust ports and snowflakes look different on earlier heads, I think most just look for the plugs. Good idea for a clone since the open chamber heads are generally better performers.
