hacked up, left over NOS scraps due not have much value. unless you enjoy vertical splicing a quarter panel. just my opinion.

It would be scary to see the repairs that body shop made, if they were cutting the quarters like that!

Not to say it couldn't be done correctly, but this is a complete rust free original Nova that I was looking at....been in storage since 82............can't see from the pic but the pass side quarter was repaired at some time in the past and they repaired it by cutting a quarter in half and put the weld seam right at the front of the wheel opening.......Took a pass on the car as it had about an extra inch of belly in the quarter....you would have to cut it off and start over.....And I'm getting spoiled with all the California Rust Free cars......

I'd take tose panels anyday of the week. If you check out the thread on NJ Steves T/A You can see how a properly butt welded 1/4 can be done

The old time body or bondo men just replaced what they had too to get the job done. They were not worried about what anybody 40 years later would think as long as the customer was happy when they were done and the price was right.
