Very nice pictures! Thanks for posting. Too bad they couldn't have picked a nicer day for Mr. Reynolds to go for a ride in the car <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/frown.gif

-----65 Gran Sports with 4-speeds are rare, rare, rare!!! Did I say they were rare??? I have always loved that all-the-way-across tail light since opening day of the 65s. There was a green/tan gut 4-speed near me back in 65 and I fell for it. I wish to this day that I had looked for one back then, but the lure of the bowtie was tooooo strong......Bill S

I had a '66 4-sp convertible and boy was it tough finding parts.

-----Diego,,,While 500 and something 4-spds were produced and those are numbers above, say, 69 ZL1s, trying to find a good one today is difficult. I think its possible that the guys that had these back in the day didnt value them as highly as some of the other highwater marks in the history of Muscle. Therefore they treated them badly.
With that said, there is a very nice sounding one in this months Hemmings. I havent seen a really pristine one since Steve Hendrickson brought one to a Kruse auction out of Minnesota years ago. It had factory AC as well and was beautifully restored as are most all of Steves cars.....Bill S

Rarer than 1967 L78 Camaros! Actually about double as rare...as they made 1138 L78's? <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif

I like that body style too Bill!

Merry Christmas!

Me, too - recall always checking for the Skylark emblem on the fender - which would indicate the cool tail light set-up. Wanted a promo model, bad (was five at the time) - but never came across one!

Moved on, eventually, to hunting for '68 Caprice's with the hidden headlights ...

I don't really want to be a stickler, but the restored version is a "Tribute" car. The white Reynolds Stage 2 in one of those pics is owned/restored by Guy Parquette. From what I heard (firsthand), the guys and gals had a lot of fun on the trip.

Both are really sweet cars; only hoping mine looks as good when it's done.
