This is a 1969 Chevy 427 engine. The block casting number is 3955270. The casting date is I 25 8. This decodes as the 25th of September 1968. This was a running engine before being torn down for inspection and is still standard bore! This engine originally came out of a full size Chevy and most likely lived a docile life. It is a 2 bolt main and could be easily converted to a 4 bolt. I will even include a set of caps.
Blocks with this casting number were only produced for the 427 engine used in passenger cars/Corvettes and was only cast from August to September 1968. They rarely come up for sale, especially in standard bore!
$1600 for the short block. Also have other parts to complete.
