What is the connection, if any? I had a visit to S/S Motorsports the last time I was in Florida and it seems there was a connection but Rosen and Co. had moved on and built those ugly "concepts" with somebody else? The yellow two seat roadster and the red 69 with the big ugly wheel flares? Can somebody fill me in?

Not trying to open up a can of anything. just curious on the connection....if any at all.

There is no MOTION or Joel Rosen connection to S/S in Sarasota, FL. One of the partners in S/S did some contract work on early cars before getting involved with S/S.
Sorry to hear that you thought our cars were ugly. The people who bought them obviously did not share your opinion.
The SuperCoupe set a record at Barrett-Jackson when the buyer, one of the top collectors in the country, paid $486,000 for it!
Sometime in January I will be releasing full information along with photos of the new 2011 MOTION Camaros.

Ugly is just an opinion, no offence meant by it! I love the traditional Motion cars and have no problem with new technology on new cars. I'd love to see a continuation series like Nickey has done, where somebody can get the "old" Motion treatment. I'm sure lots of guys who couldn't afford it back then but had 307 Camaros, Biscaynes etc. would love to have a Phase III L-88 transplant approved by Joel and yourself. I'm just more of a traditional kind of guy. Thanks for clarifying that there is no connection. I'm really looking forward to seeing the 2011 Camaros, and I'm glad to see the brand stay alive.

The cars displayed on their website indicate they are quite fond of early custom treatments and paint schemes made popular by Motion Performance.

Marty - Will you guys consider doing a modern Motion car based on the 2011 Camaro? One with no 'wild' mods like the recent cars you have put out.... I think you would sell A LOT!!!

I have seen that one.... a bit too flared and on the wild side.

How about leaving the body basically alone and doing what Motion did so well back in the day???? Modify the drive train and just do subtle exterior enhancements!!!

I can't say for sure but I believe that older news clip with renderings linked above (July 2009) is not the current deal. Hopefully we'll all see something soon.

The recent story implies to me that mods will be HP, trim and paint. I don't care for those huge flares either. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

I'd like to clear the air regarding what Motion is doing with new Camaros. Within a week or two I will announce a new partnership between Joel Rosen and a dyno-tuning speed shop and a Chevrolet dealership. Baldwin-Motion and MOTION are back and will be marketing 2011 SS & Phase III 427 & 454 Camaros that are covered by a warranties. The piece on SUPER CHEVY online talked about it.
The line will start with an SS-427 Camaro powered by an all-aluminum 427 engine rated at 525 hp and go up to a limited production Phase III SC-427, 800-hp supercharged 427 Supercar with very serious suspension, brakes, etc. mods and custom body trim.
Prices will start at under $80,000 for the SS-427 Camaro.
Return of THE FANTASTIC FIVE!
