THEY ARE BLACK, THE RIBS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. fit them before you paint them for obvious reasons.

Like he said. Also, don't put insulation strips between the straps and the tank. I know the kit comes with them but they were never used. Is the car NOR or LOS?

Thanks gus..yes pre bent before painting..and thanks Denis...was going to use the insulators..glad I dont have to...Los car..RS, cowl plenem, deluxe gut..on the home stretch now!

Just FYI, the top of the cowl should be red next to the white area, not black. I know Ron would want to get that right. One original paint example below.
