Congrats on the awesome cover and feature story in the new issue of HMM. The cover alone is worth the price of admission and the story inside is as cool as the car and the owner.

The "Roof Deuce" is an amazing car with a great story and it is great to see both Sam and Schoenthaler Restorations getting some well deserved ink. Great to see real "Day 2" mods being recognized also.

Oh...and the mention of MCACN doesn't hurt either! lol

Sam, make no mistake that we are very excited about the coverage. I'm just never comfortable about tooting my own horn. We're little guys who have been very fortunate to have been given a chance to work on some of the coolest cars, owned by some of the best people in the collector car business. Some one who hasn't been mentioned here that deserves mention is Steve Sandlin. Had Steve not started the process with Earl, and Linda, we wouldn't be having this conversation today. So congratulations here goes very deep.

So, thank you all for the congrats, but the applause starts with the Roof's and goes all the way through the people who owned, and worked on the car, through the SYC and Mr. Ashton and the MCACN show.

Thanks everyone, but not completely retiring, just retiring from high pressure hospital work and moving into something a little less stressful. I am actually drooling while waiting to see this mag. Was going to subscribe to HMM months ago but never got around to it. Too preoccupied with surgery, retirement, and moving to a new job. Kicking myself in the butt now!! Can't find a copy anywhere but I'm still searching! Looking back though I can honestly say we've not had one regret about selling the car. My copy showed up in the mail yesterday and it was the first thing I opened up too. I have heard about beating your own drum, but I was quite impressed to see that Sam wrote the article and that it was one of the better written articles I have read in quite a while. Congrats on one of the best looking examples of a day 2 street beast!!!!!!
