1500 Cars Going to be crushed March 2011. Buy them while you can!!!

http://baughmansautoparts.com/rosterlist.php

The township wants the junkyard gone and cleaned up. All these cars/trucks will be crushed starting the 1st week of March. Most of the cars are from mid 1940's thru 1979 and are complete.

All makes and models are in the junkyard. He built a garage and has 1 or 2 guys working there disasembling cars and trucks what ever you want. They have the heavy equipment there to pick up and put the cars/trucks you want on your trailer or rollback.

The name of the junk yard is Baugmans Auto Parts. Phone# is (717) 846-3944 Mon-Sat.

He will save any cars you want if you come and spray paint your initials on them and put down payment on cars you want.

You can google map the address and look at the cars thru sattelite imagery and see them in the woods.

father and son run 2 SS/AH cars also. A cuda and a dart. Steve has a SuperStreet duster too. Nice guys, at least at the drag strip.

The father told me he had a bunch of camaro parts and to come up. That was about 2 seasons ago. I think I will call them. I hope they let you walk around. Not sure if the weather will clear intime for the March sell-off that will be starting. GEEZE!

Our club made two junk yard trips there in the last 3 years. You won't like the prices. He's never there so he has a flunky (who lives in the shack) call him on the cell to have things priced. His cell phone battery dies and that's the end of the day (except for the parts the flunky sells and pockets the money). Last time, the flunky got creative and charged everyone a $5. entry fee (which Baughman didn't know about).
You have to call him ahead of time and make arrnagements for a group to arrive. He wants $150. in advance (refundable if you show up). The gates open about 8am then they are closed and locked for the day so no one can leave until the end of the day.
Every junk yard owner I've ever met is wacky in some way, but this guy is "business wacko" like I've never encountered. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif
Baughman also owns a yard in York.

I'll pass - don't have time for these types of yard owners. I have a few favorite places to go way up in the mountains of PA where I roam till my heart's content! <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/biggthumpup.gif

Just to update the info on Baugman's, they have posted on the York, PA craigslist that they will be having an indoor swap meet on Feb. 19-20 and Feb. 26-27 from 10 AM TO 3 PM. The ad states lots of drag race and mopar parts coming from John's 30+ years personal collection. The address is 440 Ebert's Lane, York, PA 17043.

I went here during GM Carlisle last year, and at that time they were going to be crushing everything by the end of November. Got a great deal on a few oddball parts, and dealt with a very friendly gentleman. Brother and I also got the opportunity to record a good amount of tag info for our Impala research, though somebody had stolen the tags off every 64-down car <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/confused.gif Not much left of the cars at this point condition wise, and I would say majority of it is early 60s and 50s stuff.

I talked to John the owner today and the only Chevy related parts are miscellaneous grilles form early cars like 57 Chevy's and he said there might be two 69 Chevelles out back with just a few accessory parts left and 2 4-speeds.

Barry Stevens probably has more stuff then anybody on the planet. I know he does in hub caps. ONLY place I ever found the assembly line valve stem caps I have. Many, many cars and parts. He is also a great guy! Very helpful to me. Its not a yard, just his personal collection of cars and parts from about 45 years or so.

I was at Baugman's in York today, and yes they do let you walk around but as you can see from the pics why it is called a junk yard. Most of the old cars are Mopar related. I talked to a local guy who told me the other yard is 10 miles away in Dover, PA but he tells me it is not even worth going to....everything is growed up in trees. I looked at 2 muncie's, the only good one is a 70 M-21 for $500 and he has a M-20 for $200. Attached are a few pics.
