What's everyone's opinion on whether or not running the extended change Dex-Cool anti-freeze vs. the standard Prestone or otherwise in these older cars is a good idea or not?

Thanks

----Jake,,,The only reason I can see to use the orange stuff is if a guy is lazy, and I know that description doesnt fit you. Since you fool with your car on a regular basis I dont see why you would change green for orange......Bill S

Jake, I heard that Dex Cool extended stuff is bad.. I heard it has a tendency to sludge up like mud in the cooling system and is a real mess...

I had dex cool in my 65 El Camino for 20 years and never had a problem. Lasted way longer then green too.. Worked well for me.. Most of the horror stories are because people let the coolant run low. This seems to cause dex cool to sludge. I never sen it though

I have seen it sludge but it was used in a vehicle that originaly used the green stuff. Has anyone seen the green stuff used in nissans? It's a very bright green.
