They mention it in the Yenko book briefly.I did buy a set for one of my deuces just in case! I figured what the hell, its not alot of money and they would always work on the tool box!Marlin probably knows, wait for him to chime in.

I have discussed these before in the past. They were definitely something Yenko had made, what the intended use was in up for speculation, but my personal theory was that they were ordered prior to the initial delivery of the COPO LT-1 Novas, and were intended to be used on the fenders above the marker light. I believe Don Yenko assumed the cars would come void of any engine ID, the same was the COPO Chevelles and Camaros had the previous year. When they arrived with factory "350" badging already installed, the plan to add these LT-1 emblems was scrapped. Some were tossed in the glovebox of cars, some never left the dealership until many years later. I've spoken to several ex-employees who recall seeing these around the dealership.

If I was to speculate I would say they didn't want them on the cars because of the, ummmm, how do I say it politely ... so so looks / quality?

IMHO of course, but they are not well executed ...
