I am about to transport 66 Cutlass from Vancouver to Ontairo via rail. The car needs to be in running condition to be loaded and off loaded onto the train. It is currently in running condition but has old gas in the tank. Am I better off leaving as is or should I pump out the old gas and put in some fresh stuff? Will the new gas just stir up tank junk? The car is being parted out eventually.

How old is the gas? If it's REAL old, I would get the gas out so you don't have any issues. If it's only a couple of years old you could mix it with some new gas and it should run fine. Maybe even using some Sta-Bil.

Gas is probably 2-3 years old, car idles fine with it, its just smells in a confined place, there is about 1/3 tank.

If it were me, I would throw some fresh gas in there and run it. Maybe add some Sta-Bil if you have some.
