View Full Version : When did Chevrolet START USING "X" Code
Does anyone know anything about this Z/28 ?

The cowl tag has NO "X" code.... and the car was built in MAY <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif
When did they start using the "X" code on the trim tag?

The car has the X33D80 but it appears to be a repro trim tag.

X code is there as plain as the nose on your face

not for nothin, but my 05A x-77 car has an 010 block. the 618 block was not used that late. wish there was a pic of the stamping. but might not be one for a reason.

I agree. For what it is worth my 05-A Z-11 has a 010 cast on 4-26 1969. 010 was also in the 300 hp cars by then too.

It's a June built car, which should have a 010 block.I agree on the trim tag,fake,but a very nice Z.

I'm not sure you can say that. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif Not sure what it started as.
9N655045 with a repro tag and a repro drivetrain.
