Even just dreaming of being the lucky fella who takes this girl home from the dance is a good feeling!.
This great example crossing the block should help clear any fog left behind after a few recent sales too!.
Best to you Don & Judi!.

Great example of the musclecar days....Awesome car...hope it goes to a good caretaker........Good Luck
This car will certainly bring out the buyers to this auction. It is one of the most sought after combinations of options that real collectors look for in a Yenko Camaro.
... Good luck with the sale. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif

Ed, don't know what the red X was for. All I know is it was there when I got the car 25 years ago and it is still there today.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments.
It was a very difficult decision to put it up for sale. I have very mixed emotions about how I'll feel when the hammer drops.
It will be a bitter sweet moment either way.
Twenty five years is a long time to own anything. But, it should take me out of the flipper class.

It's Judi's Yenko, Don just takes care of it for her.
I thought the 'X' on the trim tag was cool....never noticed it before.

The last one was an automatic. Sure you can handle a 4 speed???
If not you better learn, as you brought me good luck last time and I'll need your talents again.

When you and I are sitting in the boat on a perfect summer morning catching large mouth bass with your house and dock in site I will ask you if you have gotten over it yet. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif

Congrats Don on the sale of the car.....do you know who bought the car?
Congrats to Don and Judi on selling the Yenko Camaro. <<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif
The Camaro is going to a good home, purchased by a very nice couple from Texas.

I don't know about Don and Judi, but I sure had fun.
The car is going to a GREAT home!
Interesting that the last few bidders were not any of the "expected bidders", although they were all Yenko enthusiasts.
Sounds like the predictions of the Yenko Market crashing from the peanut gallery was completely wrong. Maybe Color, originality, history and provenance can have an effect on market value?
Congrats guys!

Yes, Judi and I had a great time. Stefano did a outstanding job from the time of consignment until the check was in our hands. The Mecum people are great and have every detail covered so nothing is left to chance.
If you have never been to this event you should put it on your schedule for next year. It is a great car show with tons of knowledgeable people in attendance.
It was difficult to part with the car after owning it for 24 years. So far, no sellers remorse, but time will tell. After meeting and talking with the new owners I'm convinced that it has a wonderful new home.
When you factor in buyers fees (6%) the actual sales price was $367,700. The great cars still bring great money.
Thanks to all who have supported and helped with the car and once again a special thanks to Stefano.
