Drove by Langhorn Speed shop today and it is as empty as Charlie Sheens Agents voice mail box. Not a car in the lot and not even a carb rebuil kit on the walls. Just 2 for rent signs in the windows.

I'v got an old picture of my uncle with a Shaw's Speed Shop shirt on, what did some of Langhorn's old logo's look like?

WOW, what a shame. Passed it last Summer and it was still open. It never ends!

I would drive past the shop all most every day, from 1981 to 2006. Loved looking at all the cars.

also.. BP speed in Horsham also closed recently.. Two local speed shops.. gone.. Langhorne speed was always a treat as a kid to pass by with my parents to see some musclecar sitting outside.. I remember when Steve used to own it in the mid 80's

IMO, you can thank the mail order kings, Summit and Jegs, for the extinction of Speed shops. Nowadays, it is the kid waiting for the UPS guy to deliver the fart can muffler to put on his Mom's old Civic, Sad

Harry Tillman Speed Shop is still open. One of the last in that area.

Don't know when Google snapped this picture, but for those who don't know the place.

Bummer - grew up just a few miles away, frequent visitor/buyer. Moved to Hatboro several years later - got to know the guys at BP Speed pretty well too. I guess Markovich is still in Warminster?

The only shop in our area is A.E.D. When the other shop...CLINE AUTOMOTIVE closed up I was able to get the CAM2 sign off the side of the building.

I was there a year ago when I was in Langhorn on business. I loved the old Nova drag car that was sitting in the parking lot. The shop reminded me alot of the Mom and Pop shops that used to vend at the good swap meets.

Tillmans is a speed shop but not in the classic sense. They are a tuner shop/install shop first and sell parts as a second. I had my Mustang dyno tuned there. The retail section is very small.. Their main money maker is the work they do which is quite good. They specialize in the new Mustangs and Camaros
