Looking For Production Info on the 67 L79 Nova.
I know that there were only a handful (5-7) made and I am looking for the production details. How was it different from the 66 L79? Is there Chevrolet documentation on these cars or is it just collected bits and pieces?

For one thing, they had a cast iron intake and a quadrajet. There were some pictures on camaros.net or chevelles.com a while back. I could try and send you the pictures but they're too big for me to attach here.

I was “told” that only one has been documented. Is the owner a member here or does anyone know him/her? I would like to pick their brain just a little. A guy contacted me and is trying to find out if his car the real deal or not. It is sounding like it is a 67SS with a 66 L79 motor.

I recall reading there were 6 or 7 built and 1, maybe 2 documented cars exist?.
What's the build date of the '67 in question as I believe that's key?.
Best may be to get ahold of Bob the L79 registry guy from BC Canada who sometimes posts here, very knowledgeable and a great guy who's helped me and a few others here in the past..
I forget his handle on here, anyone?.

Jack Duer is from the Youngstown Ohio area, I have no contact info on him. However he is a member of National Nostalgic Nova's.
Pics of his car are here in this thread.

I believe there is a gold one in AZ, a Nova collector has it along with some '68 COPO Novas and some Yenko Deuces - his name escapes me at the moment....
